This presentation will discuss the importance, goals and principles of trauma-informed practice for children impacted by trauma.
The presenters will discuss current evidence on effective and sustained trauma-informed approaches for children in care, and the role of teachers and caregivers when supporting children affected by trauma. The importance of teacher and carer self-care will also be discussed as an important element of trauma-informed interventions.
