Meet Effie joined PCA Families in 2025 as the Senior Worker for the Helpline program. Effie is a social worker with 17 years experience in the community and welfare sector. Effie’s previous roles saw her work within the statutory space and in various community agencies, focusing on supporting high risk children and young people, kinship and foster carers.  Effie’s work has also seen her work in community health – mental health, and youth mentoring and counselling.  Effie has a strong passion for human rights and social justice.  Effie’s values are driven by the belief that everyone deserves a fare go, with equal rights, opportunities, and dignity.  In her spare time, Effie enjoys cooking and being a mum to two boys.  She works, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
