Guest Speaker: Dr Karen McLean, Paedriatric Lead of the Victorian Centre of Health Leadership for Children in Care at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne.
Topic: "Collision of the healthcare 'system' and out-of-home care"
Dr Karen McLean is the Paediatric Lead of the Victorian Centre of Health Leadership for Children in Care at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne.
Karen has worked as a paediatrician with children in care since 2013, leading the Pathway to Good Health Clinic at Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne.
In 2021 Karen completed her PhD exploring health needs assessments for Victorian children entering care.
She continues to contribute to clinical care, research, and advocacy to support routine, timely and appropriate healthcare for children and young people in care.
Members will be voting on appointments to the PCA Families Board. Whilst only members can vote at the AGM, we invite all interested parties to attend.

We hope to see you at the AGM, however, if you cannot attend the AGM in person, you may still vote by providing your proxy to PCA Families Chair or any other person attending the meeting, either in person or virtually. Nominations
Lynette Landy – re-nominating
Meets the criteria set out in Sections 1.6 and 1.7 of the PCA Families Board Composition Policy for Close personal or family connection to adoption or permanent care.
Lynette Landy has a professional background in insurance, property management, and interior design, including running her own styling business. She has served on the board of the International Institute of Home Staging and now volunteers with Backpacks for VIC Kids. Lynette’s lived experience began when she became a permanent carer to her great-nephew at 12 weeks old. Her deep personal commitment to permanency and stability in care underpins her work as a board member, especially in advocating for kinship carers and non-traditional family structures.
Mark Rogers
Meets the criteria set out in Sections 1.6 and 1.7 of the PCA Families Board Composition Policy for Close personal or family connection to adoption or permanent care.
Mark has held senior roles in education and community organisations, including two decades teaching and leading trauma‑informed programs for children in care. As Vice President of ADRA, he contributes contemporary governance insight, collaborative problem‑solving and strong stakeholder engagement. Mark also works with the Office of the Public Advocate safeguarding vulnerable community members. He has extensive experience in government advocacy and relationships, working across agencies to strengthen policy, improve service pathways and elevate lived‑experience voices. Mark is committed to improving outcomes for permanent and adoptive families through lived‑experience leadership and evidence‑based practice.
Amanda Yee
Does not meet the criteria set out in Sections 1.6 and 1.7 of the PCA Families Board Composition Policy for Close personal or family connection to adoption or permanent care.
Amanda combines her professional expertise with a strong interest in social policy and community outcomes, supporting PCA Families in its work to strengthen support for permanent carers, adoptive families and children. She is committed to helping organisations influence positive change through effective governance, evidence-based advocacy and a focus on the people and communities they serve.
Lammert Vos
Does not meet the criteria set out in Sections 1.6 and 1.7 of the PCA Families Board Composition Policy for Close personal or family connection to adoption or permanent care.
Lammert is a Deloitte Partner and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with extensive experience in governance, finance and risk management. He has worked closely with leadership teams across Australia to support organisational resilience and effective decision-making. Lammert is passionate about contributing his experience to organisations that create positive social impact and helping PCA Families deliver on its mission.
As required in the PCA Families Constitution:
A member may appoint a proxy by giving written notice to the association no later than Thursday 8 October in respect of which the proxy is appointed, and an incorporated member (a body corporate) may appoint a proxy or a representative, to attend a meeting and vote on behalf of the member. The Constitution can be accessed on PCA Families website.
